Hi, I’m Amy,

I am a registered practicing Midwife, Mum to my young daughter, and the founder of The Birth Nest.

For the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of caring for women and their families throughout every stage of pregnancy, birth and the early postnatal period. This has given me a broad understanding of what parents truly need to feel informed, prepared and confident.

I trained at a Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) University, meaning I can offer support around infant feeding, responsive parenting and navigating those precious early days with your newborn, something I have done for many families in my care.

At The Birth Nest, I believe education should leave you feeling empowered - not frightened. Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or adding to your family, my courses are designed to give you the knowledge, confidence and practical skills, helping you to approach birth and parenthood with reassurance and trust in yourself.

I am so pleased you are here, and I cannot wait to be part of your journey.

“Amy attended all of my prenatal appointments and then stayed with me at the hospital during my whole labour and birth, and also postpartum. My birth was quite a scary experience but Amy stayed by my side the whole time, she made sure I was informed with what was happening at every stage and it was a real comfort having her there! She really was amazing the whole way through and I’m so glad she was part of my whole experience!” - Shannon
