The Birth Nest Courses
The Birth Nests Antenatal Courses are Midwife-led, delivered by myself, a practicing registered Midwife, they are evidence based and are designed to give you the knowledge, confidence and reassurance you need as you prepare for birth and early parenthood.

1:1 In person Course - Enjoy one-hour personalised sessions delivered over three weeks, in the comfort of your own home. Available to families local to the Forres area. These relaxed, one-to-one sessions are tailored to your individual needs, giving you plenty of time to ask questions, prepare for birth and early parenthood at your own pace - £249 per couple
1:1 Virtual Course - Recieve the same comprehensive sessions from wherever you are. Delivered over three one-hour online sessions, you’ll enjoy dedicated one-to-one support, in a relaxed, friendly environment - £169 per couple
Local Group Course - Join other expectant parents for one relaxed 3-hour face-to-face session, where all three weeks of course content is thoughtfully condensed into a single interactive class. It’s the perfect opportunity to ask questions, build confidence and connect with other local families who are on the same journey - £125 per couple
Bespoke Individual Support - Would you like personalised support on a particular aspect of pregnancy, birth, infant feeding or the postnatal period?
Book a private one-to-one session tailored entirely to you. We’ll focus on the specific topics, questions or concerns that matter most to you and your family, giving you evidence-based information and plenty of time to talk things through

What You Will Learn On Your Course
Week 1: Third Trimester & Signs of Labour:
Preparing for the final weeks of pregnancy, recognising the signs of labour, induction of labour process, when to contact your maternity unit and what to expect when labour begins.
Week 2: Labour & Birth:
Understanding the stages of labour, pain relief options, positions in labour and coping mechanisms, birth choices, vaginal, assisted and caesarean births, and possible interventions, so that you can make informed decisions.
Week 3: The Fourth Trimester:
Everything you need to know about life after birth, including infant feeding, newborn care, postnatal recovery, emotional wellbeing and adjusting to life with your new baby.
